Random Page Method for Generation of Ouranian Barbaric Terms

I wanted to generate some Ouranian Barbaric terms, but didn’t want to use any of the ones I saw described. I wanted something easy to do that would be random.  I decided to use an approach similar to bibliomancy (where a book is opened at random in search for divinatory information). I selected a book to use as the source of my letters. I’ve done this with a diverse set of texts, including a Java programming guide and The Magician’s Companion 

I then determined how many letters I wanted in the word I was creating.  I did that in several ways. In one case I determined what number I thought was magically equivalent to the concept for which I was creating a term.  In other cases, I determined the numerological value for the word in English. I then numbered small slips of paper (small sticky notes work great for this), 1 for each letter.  I proceeded to get myself into a meditative state.  Once in the right state, I closed my eyes and shuffled the slips of paper, turning some of them upside-down.  I then opened the book at random and inserted one of my slips of paper. I closed the book and repeated the process for each of the slips of paper.  When I was done, I opened my eyes and flipped through the book to find the papers.  For each paper, I took the letter on the page that matched the number on the paper. In other words, for the page that had the slip of paper marked with a 1, I took the first letter, for the paper marked 2, I took the second letter, and so on.  This helped avoid the problem I first saw, when I took the first letter on each page, of winding up with words with no vowels.  In any case, the finished term can be adjusted for reasonable pronunciation as the magician desires.

For the record, the following are the terms I’ve come up with using this method.  Note that I worked on the planets when I didn’t have the dictionary handy, so I actually created some terms that were already in the dictionary.  I’ve left those out of this list.
