Ouranian LBRP

A Variation on the traditional Lesser Banishing
Ritual of the Pentagram or LBRP.

This ritual uses the Ouranian-Barbaric magical language, except for the names of the Archangels, which are in Enochian. One could also derive O-B words for the Archangels using intuitive sortilige. See the Ouranian-Barbaric Dictionary, and the essay on the O-B Language for more information.

Ouranian-Barbaric is pronounced exactly as it is spelled: for example UJAI is pronounced "uh-jai". With a barbaric tongue, what is important is to stick to a given set of "rules" for pronouncing the words, regardless of how you decide on those rules. Consistancy is more important than "authority".

Procedure:

1. Stand facing Magnetic North. (Use either aWand, Dagger or finger of the dominant hand, to trace the lineal figures of the cross and the pentagram.)

2. Touch the forehead and intone UJAI; ("aether")

3. Touch the phallus and intone CHABOSEF; ("matter")

4. Touch the right shoulder and intone DINTHOQAF; ("power")

5. Touch the left shoulder and intone BORVEMAX; ("self-love")

6. Touch the breast and intone ULAV; ("infinity")

7. Facing North, extend right hand with weapon or thumb wand, and trace a Pentagram in the air, then thrust the hand into it's center and intone:
NOBO ("Earth"). Turn 1/4 turn to face the East, drawing the arc of a circle with your outstretched hand as you go.

8. Repeat, but intone:
DIJOW ("Air"). Repeat as before to end up facing South.

9. Repeat, but intone:
ASHARA ("Fire"). Repeat as before to end up facing West.

10. Repeat, but intone:
THALDOMA ("Water"). Repeat as before to end up facing North again.

11. Facing North in the center of the circle, assume the position with arms outstretched, and intone:

12. Repeat 1 through 6.

13. Cross arns over chest and intone:
XIQUAL CHOYOFAQUE ("phenomonize the Great Work of Magick"), pause, and then drop your arms and intone:
SYCUZ ("it is done")

* In O-B there are no singular pronouns for human beings. In keeping with the Chaosist concept of the "inner selves", an individual's psyche is considered to be comprised of a collection of various personnae, with no particular one being ascendent. The idea of a single "True Self" is only an illusion.
