The Rebirth

 

Preface

 

There are a few minimal base requirements for this ritual: You must have walked all the gates of The Necronomicon (The gates specified in Lovecraft’s book), and that you know how to enter the lower world through a shamanistic technique. Also the rite assumes that your animal spirit is a dragon, if it is not then substitute it with an animal that is appropriate for you. The basic idea is to burn away and leave behind everything that is not truly you, everything that has been labeled or otherwise forcefully associated with you. Then you are tested by a dragon, to make sure that your body is strong enough to face what lies ahead, and that you are fully trained for what your are being initiated into. Afterwards you journey into the shamanistic lower worlds, to embrace and learn about your dragon spirit, or in essence, yourself. Upon returning, you die. You are then reincarnated and baptized with a new chaos name. From then on instead of having a “practice name” as a kind of alias your “real name” becomes the alias. Then you ask for a blessing from one of Marduk’s names, the Lord of Chaos. Once all is done you end the ritual and clean up.

 

 

Pre-ritual and Mind Setting

 

  1. Write down your name on a piece of paper and burn the paper, imagining all that is associated with the labeled name burning away with the paper. Leave everything behind with the burning of the name, including the name.

 

  1. Once that is done, from here on you are nameless, for the name that was given to you at birth is not really yours therefore something about you is not you, now you are nothing but yourself

 

  1. Reach a state in which gnosis may be attained. Either through exhaustion sleep deprivation, or what ever you please. (I lift weights, so in this case I’ll triple my reps)

 

  1. Cleanse all tools and ritual area thoroughly; also cleanse self even though it will be done more later on, much more.

 

  1. Meditate in the most comfortable place in the cleansed area for a half hour, thinking about what the initiation is really about and what it is represents.

 

  1. After a half hour of meditation, take a bath with some salt thrown into the water

 

  1. Place a cleansed quartz crystal inside a rag and use that to wash and purify the body.

 

  1. After the ritual bath, return to the area that has already been cleansed. In that area, call upon the dragon (spirit of your choice) spirit that lies within the body in whatever manner you wish. (I will go through the dragon Kung Fu Form)
  2. Once the Dragon has been invoked, return to another half hour of mediation, completely joining with the Dragon and purifying the mind.

 

 

The Ritual

 

Now for the actual ritual itself I have integrated the use of my laptop as an alter. I created a timed power point that will work on its own after I start it. I have then placed a board over the keyboard for the alter itself. I will include the power point with this ritual online.

 

Trial of the Dragon

 

1.     Begin with Gnostic thunderbolt, banishing with laughter

 

2.     Trace the dragon’s eye upon the ground, incanting the words of the druidic invocation of the dragon thrice:

Cum saxum saxorum

In duersum montum oparum da,

In aetibulum

In quinatum – DRACONIS!

 

3.     After plunging the ritual sword into the ground and the dragon manifests, hail the dragon saying, “Mighty Dragon, kin to my soul, I ask you to be present and to witness my initiation, my own rite of passage.” (Or something like that…)

 

4.     (If the dragon seems oddly reluctant or otherwise resistant try to convince him with a sacrifice of some sort or you will have to do the initiation another time)

 

5.     Open up an impromptu conversation with the Dragon, asking him to take part in the initiation

 

6.     Once he agrees to do so, ask him to test you in everyway, body, mind, and spirit. Ask him for a trial by fire.

 

7.     Now is when you do something you should NEVER do. Remove the ritual sword from the eye of the dragon traced upon the ground.

 

8.     The dragon is now free to do what it wills, including harming the magician

 

9.     Close your eyes and do your best to achieve a Gnostic meditation, trying to withstand all the dragon can give, expect attacks aimed at all aspects of your being

 

10.  Once all is done and the dragon has finished his testing, have what’s left of you thank him for his participation and ask him to stay and watch the rest of the ritual.

 

 

The Mirror (Replace dragon with appropriate spirit)

 

  1. Settle down and relax, starting up the first part of the power point. For 15 minutes the first slide will play a shamanistic drum beat at a slow pace that then later on speeds up.

 

  1. Once the drumming begins, close your eyes and tie a cloth over your eyes to keep out all light, then lay down on the ground

 

  1. Go through all the necessary steps it takes to reach the lower world

 

  1. Once you arrive there, find and greet your inner dragon (or what have you…)

 

  1. Once the formalities are done, begin to “size the dragon up” find all of its weaknesses, mentally and physically, leave no room for politeness here

 

  1. Be brutally honest in finding everything that is wrong, do not focus on what is positive or good about the dragon

 

  1. Then understand how the dragon is connected with you, how you and it share all the same strengths and weaknesses

 

  1. Know yourself

 

  1. Bring yourself back from the lower world, also retrieving your dragon as well, make sure it is your own dragon

 

 

Death

 

  1. Once that slide has ended it will bring you to a slide of darkness, a plain black slide, 15 minutes

 

  1. Keep the mask over your eyes, making sure it is pitch black

 

  1. Lay on your back, slowing your breathing as much as possible

 

  1. Imagine your body’s life ebbing away, going back to the primal chaos in which it spawned from, become almost dormant

 

  1. Recite:

"I am entering the stillness before creation
I am entering the ground of the Goddess
May my body be still
May my mind be peaceful
May my heart be ready"

 

  1. Die your symbolic death

 

  1. After laying on the floor, “dead” for a while, you begin to feel a fire burning under you skin

 

  1. A phoenix surges into the ritual area, fire emulating from it’s body

 

  1. Fire kin to the shroud the phoenix wears surges out from your body, restoring life to you

 

  1. Leap up, ripping of the blind fold, embracing the flames of the candles

 

  1. From the ashes of death you are born, now rise to receive your name (end of slide)

 

 

Baptism

 

  1. The power point will now change to a slide that shows the symbol of Kali, this is to be focused on until the slide changes

 

  1. once the slide changed it will be showing and after image that is left on your eyes of the symbol of Kali

 

  1. Evoke Kali’s presence into the ritual area using this poem:

 

There is no light, nor any motion

There is no mass, nor any sound

But still in the lampless heart of the ocean

Fasten me down and hold me drowned

Within they womb, within they thought

Where there is naught, where there is naught

 

  1. Once her presence is in the ritual area, thank her for coming

 

  1. Ask her for a baptism, part of the initiation into chaos itself (having the name already prepared)

 

  1. Let her do what she wills in the way of baptism, after all she is a goddess…

 

  1. Thank her for her participation in the initiation, inviting her to stay along with the dragon and the phoenix

 

(The entire baptism does have a certain timed limit on the slide show)

 

 

A Blessing (PLEASE before doing this be sure to have already walked this gate)

 

  1. The power point will now switch to a slide showing the engraving for the gate of Marduk, lord of magicians

 

  1. Stare deeply into the gate, into the power beyond it and intone thrice the key to the gate

 

  1. Let the power of the opened door wash over you, calling forth the fifth name of Marduk, Luggaldimmerankia (he was known for putting order into chaos J)

 

  1. Ask him for a blessing, for a boon, ask him, the lord of chaos to bless you so that you may live a life of thorough chaos, that you be watched over by him, and in return he will be worshiped and forever remembered by you, which is a miniscule compensation for the blessing you ask of him

 

  1. Approach the request of a blessing with humility, being sure to remain humble, if you do this and all goes well you should receive his blessing, unless something unforeseen happens…

 

  1. Once he is done, close the gate and the power point will go to a black slide

 

 

Tying Up Loose Ends

 

  1. Thank all deities that have remained presence for the initiation, REALLY thank them

 

  1. Once they have departed ground all excess energies in the area, of course keeping up the wards

 

  1. Make sure your inner dragon still is manifested, if it is not invoke it again

 

  1. Sit down and meditate again for another half hour, letting everything settle in, the energies blend and settle

 

  1. Thank your inner dragon and slowly let it depart

 

  1. Clean the ritual space and take down the wards

 

  1. Go find or retrieve food that has been prepared earlier for grounding (bread and things of that sort)
